TWO ART SONGS BY ELLEN MANDEL IN THIS TERRIFIC CONCERT, sung by mezzo Katelyn Mattson-Levy joined by Victoria-native Matthew Piatt, now assistant director for Chicago Lyric Opera and San Francisco Opera, on piano. The concert explores four archetypes of women: maid, mother, crone, and enchantress, includes music by Amy Beach, Florence Price, Lori Laitman, Ethel Smyth, and Rebecca Clarke.
